It began with a photoshoot
We had a photoshoot coming up and were looking for cute hiking socks that would look good on the photos, but would also allow us to hike up a mountain without feeling uncomfortable. We did an extensive search and couldn’t find any. We ended up buying a pair of cheap cotton socks which at least looked good and ended up switching socks once we reached our photo destination.
Finding the right partner
We started by searching far and wide for the right sock manufacturer, only to find a hidden gem right in our backyard – just 20 minutes from our headquarters! This local, family-owned sock maker had a long-standing tradition of craftsmanship and was eager to collaborate on a project as personal to us as it was to them. With their expertise and our many demands, we began the development process. No detail was spared.
High density stitching
We really hate bulky socks and did everything we could to produce a sock that was not bulky, yet still provided comfy padding. Together with our supplier we developed a high density method of knitting the socks which allows for padding and durability without the bulk and gives a narrow fit which prevents blisters, bunching or slipping down.
